All That Jazz Dance Studio

A Special Note from the Director of All That Jazz, Deb Vogel:  I wanted to take this opportunity to reiterate the philosophy of our studio. I began All That Jazz thirteen years ago with the desire to enable all children, regardless of experience or age, to learn the art and joy of dance. Having now grown into a thriving and lively dance community of hundreds of students, we still pride ourselves on having that same philosophy.  All of our classes are taught by our experienced and energetic faculty who simply love teaching children how to dance.  At All That Jazz, students get the positive benefits of having the director of the studio personally teach the majority of the classes, as well as taking a “hands on” approach to all classes.  In addition to myself, all of my teachers are not only extremely knowledgeable about dance technique but also about children and their self-esteem.  Students are thus learning how to dance and how to dance well in a safe but challenging environment. 

I’d like to conclude by sharing a quote from a senior thesis by one of our 2007 graduates, Rory Clark.  Rory, who was one my very first students at All That Jazz, wrote,  “In dance (at All That Jazz) I found a community.  A home…  Thank you for caring for me, guiding me, pushing me and training me to become the person I am.”

2011-2012 TUITION 

One Class Hour/week- $600.00

Two Class Hours/week- $1,140.00

Three Class Hours/week- $1,650.00

Four Class Hours/week- $2,125.00

After 4 hours, each additional class hour- $475.00

1 ½ Class Hours/week- $875.00

2 ½ Class Hours/week-$1,440.00

3 ½ Class Hours/week-$1,850.00

Sunday 8 week Workshops- $150.00

12 week Session classes- $220.00

•The above discounts are only applicable per child and may not be combined within a family.  Tuition is based on classes running from September-June.  There is also a $25.00 registration fee for each child.  If there are more than 2 children in a family, only the first 2 children pay a registration fee. 

•To reserve a spot in a class, please pay the full tuition amount, plus the non-refundable registration fee of $25.00.  (Payment plans are available per approval of Deb.)

•A signed completed registration form must accompany payment with the class selection denoted. 

•The bill for the 2012 recital costume fee, ranging from $55.00-$65.00, will be sent in December.

•Registration is binding and each registered student is committing to enrollment for the entire school year.  After August 1st through the first week of classes, only 75% of the payment will be returned should a child drop her/his class.

POLICIES: 

•The full tuition payment is due upon registration. The full non-refundable costume fee will be billed and due in December.

•The $25.00 registration fee is due with registration and is non-refundable.

•Refund Policy: After August 1 through the first week of classes, 75% of tuition will be refunded.  After the second week of classes, 50% of tuition will be refunded.  After the third week of classes, 25% of tuition will be refunded. After the fourth week of classes, no refunds will be given.  These policies apply even if a student is on a payment plan.  Should more money be owed and the student drops out, parents are still responsible for any outstanding balance.  There is no prorating of tuition for any reason whatsoever.  By enrolling in class, students are automatically signed up for the entire school year and are responsible for all tuition and costume fees.

•No refunds are given for missed classes either due to student absence, snow days, or holidays.  Students are encouraged to make up classes by taking any additional class that is at an appropriate level and age group.

•The studio follows the Newton Public School schedule for holidays, vacations, and snow days.  In the event of a storm occurring after-school hours, please check our web site for cancellation information.  Any other class cancellations or early closings are noted on the studio calendar. 

•Studio Showcase Week is the week of December 7th, the last week before the winter break.

•Private lessons are available and are $70.00/hour.•Birthday parties are available Saturdays and Sundays and are $195.00 for 15 children or fewer.  Birthday parties for 16 or more children cost $225.00 and will include an assistant teacher.
