Your Child’s Dance Journey
Starts Here

We’d love to have your child join us! Let them build confidence through dance.

Secure your child’s spot in Newton’s most beloved dance community where “smile and have fun” isn’t just our motto – it’s how we help children build confidence that lasts a lifetime.

New to dance? You’re in the right place.

Many of our dancers begin with little or no previous experience. Our welcoming environment helps children feel comfortable, build confidence, and enjoy coming to class each week.

Not sure where to start? You’re not alone.

Many families reach out before registering so we can help them choose the class that will be the best fit for their dancer.

Common Questions

Quick Answers

Not Sure Which Class Is Right?

Miss Deb personally helps every family find the perfect fit.

Need Payment Flexibility?

Payment plans are available – just ask Miss Deb directly.

How Do I Register?

Once you click on the Join Us button, you will be redirected to an online registration form where you can make your selection for classes at our Newton dance school. Preferred form of payment is direct bank transfer, however we can also accept cash, checks payable to All That Jazz, as well as credit cards on a case by case basis.

How Can I Get on a Payment Plan?

Families are welcome to pay their tuition in smaller increments at no extra penalty fees. Interested candidates simply must contact Miss Deb Vogel, the studio director, to make arrangements. All payment plans must be paid off entirely by December 1st, without exception. Should more money be owed and the student drops out, parents are still responsible for any outstanding balance.

Is There a Family Cap to the $40.00 Registration Fees?

Yes, only the first two children need to pay the registration fees. Family max is $80.00.

What If My Child Gets Injured or Is Sick and Cannot Attend Classes?

No refunds are given for missed classes either due to student absence, snow days, holidays or any other school closures. As a courtesy to our families, dancers are allowed to attend a total of two make-up classes throughout the year. These make-ups must be scheduled by emailing Miss Deb and are subject to availability and are at her discretion.

Are There Any Discounts for Multiple Classes?

Each subsequent class your child enrolls in is charged at a discounted rate. These discounts are only applicable per child and may not be combined within a family.

Do You Prorate Tuition?

Not typically. While we encourage students to sign up throughout the fall, there is no prorating of tuition due to the fact that we need to set our schedules and expenses in the summer.

How Do Your Sessions Run?

We operate on the school year basis, with classes running from September-May. By enrolling in class, students are automatically signed up for the entire school year and are responsible for all tuition and costume fees. Our youngest dancers are eligible to sign up for shorter 12-week sessions.

What Else Will I Be Charged for Throughout the School Year?

Recital costume fees will be due on November 15th.

How Does Your Calendar Work?

The studio follows the Newton Public Schools schedule for holidays, vacations, snow days and all other closures. In the event of a storm occurring after-school hours, please check our Facebook and Instagram pages for cancellation information. Any other class cancellations or early closings are noted on the studio calendar.

Is the End-of-Year Recital Mandatory?

While not mandatory, we highly suggest that all of our students participate in our annual recitals in May (exact date tba). Each year, all of our students, even our youngest 2-year-old dancers, look forward to getting up on the stage and performing in front of their loved ones.

Our mantra for the recitals is always “Smile and Have Fun,” and we mean it! If your child is nervous about dancing in front of an audience, please contact Miss Deb to set up a personal meeting. The confidence that our dancers gain from performing and gathering as a group is unparalleled. These shows are annual highlights for families and dancers alike year after year.

Do You Have Any Other Community-Building Activities/Events?

Yes, so many! Bookend annual highlights are our Fall Street Performance in September and our Free Outdoor Performance in May at The Street Chestnut Hill.

Our brand new offering for this year is an alumni college panel where recent alums are returning to discuss their dance futures after All That Jazz and how we prepared them for life after high school. A much beloved newer tradition is our Recital Production Dance which brings together dancers ages 8-18 for a fun-filled recital dance on Sundays from January-May.

Brand new in 2024-2025 and back again for 2025-2026, we are excited to once again do our Community Service Workshop in connection with the Newton Food Pantry in time for the holidays!

What Our Graduates Are Saying

“All That Jazz has been so much more than just a place to dance. It’s been a second home, a safe space, and a place where I could fully be myself without fear of judgement. Walking into your class always meant walking into a space filled with encouragement, laughter, and love- and for that I am endlessly grateful.”

– Nadia Belfort, class of 2025
