Why Families Choose All That Jazz

Choosing the right dance studio in Newton, MA is an important decision for families. At All That Jazz Dance Studio, our goal is to create an environment where dancers feel welcomed, encouraged, and proud of their progress.

For many children, dance class becomes more than just an activity. It becomes a place where they build confidence, friendships and a life-long love of movement.

For many of our All That Jazz dancers, class quickly becomes the highlight of their week and the dance studio is their safe space and second home.

A Welcoming and Supportive Environment

From the moment dancers walk through our doors, they are welcomed into a supportive community.

Our teachers focus on helping each dancer:

• feel comfortable in class
• build confidence
• develop friendships
• celebrate progress

We believe children learn best when they feel encouraged and supported, and our studio culture reflects that philosophy.

“Miss Deb and her staff are tremendously positive influences on our girls, especially our oldest, who has been dancing and volunteering there for almost a decade. The lessons extend far beyond dance instruction–leadership, self-confidence, grace, fitness, kindness, inclusivity, resilience, humor…I could go on…It is amazing how many boxes they check. Miss Deb gives them more than a studio, she gives them a home!”~ Maura Hadro Butler

Experienced and Caring Teachers

Our faculty brings both strong dance training and a genuine love of working with children.

Great teachers do more than teach choreography. They help dancers:

• develop technique
• build confidence
• learn discipline and focus
• express themselves through movement

Our instructors take pride in helping each dancer grow at their own pace.

Classes for Every Age and Experience Level

All That Jazz offers dance classes for children starting at age 2 through high school.

Our programs include:

• creative movement for young dancers
• ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theater
• classes for preschool, elementary, middle and high school dancers
• opportunities for teens to continue growing in dance

Whether a child is trying their first class or continuing their training, we offer programs that support dancers at every stage.

Confidence That Lasts Beyond the Studio

Dance teaches much more than steps.

Through dance, children learn:

• confidence
• perseverance
• teamwork
• self-expression

Many parents tell us they see their child grow not only as a dancer, but also as a more confident and outgoing person.

“I wanted to send you a quick email to express my heartfelt THANK YOU for everything you have created at All That Jazz. Even with all of the classes you have and all of the students in the classes, you always made it a point to talk to us and really got a chance to know the kids. You aren’t just a name behind a business or an email; you are a face in the studios day in and day out engaging with students and parents, and your love of dance just oozes out of you! We really were not sure how our daughter would do in dance this year, and in fact, all along I had said she would probably be the kid crying on the side and not dancing, but seeing her SHINE on stage yesterday made us smile so hard it hurt. It may have taken her 8 months to come out of her shell, but the growth she made is so crazy to even try and comprehend. The first thing she asked today was “Mama, is it a dance day again today?” Needless to say, I signed her up immediately for next year. Watching her up on the stage was just such a joy and we are so so proud of her, and so THANKFUL for you and Miss Ellen and all of the other teachers that helped our daughter gain confidence and independence. She has even talked about how she doesn’t need to hold a teacher’s hand anymore when she dances!”~ Monique Gagnon Magno

A Recital That Celebrates Every Dancer

Each year our dancers perform in our annual end-of-year recital, held at a professional theater.

The recital is designed to be a joyful celebration of the dancers’ progress throughout the year. It gives dancers the opportunity to perform on stage and share their accomplishments with family and friends.

For many dancers, the recital becomes one of the most memorable moments of the year.

A True Dance Community

All That Jazz is proud to be a place where dancers support one another and celebrate each other’s progress.

Families often tell us that the studio feels like a second home for their dancers. Friendships form in class, older dancers encourage younger dancers, and everyone shares in the excitement of performances and milestones.
